What is it? It is essentially a cell phone signal relay system consisting of two main parts: the signal antenna and the base unit. It takes the cell signal from the location where the signal antenna is placed, and relays that signal to the location where the base unit is placed.
How does it work? The signal antenna (the object on the left in the photo) is typically mounted in a place where the signal is strong (e.g. the attic), and the base unit (the object on the right) is placed inside the house/apartment where the signal is weak. A coaxial cable connects the signal antenna and the base unit. The base unit in turn creates a cell zone indoor, effectively bringing the strong signal from the signal antenna to the inside, allowing you to make/receive calls.
