What is it? It is an electronic fertility monitoring device that helps you maximize the chances of becoming pregnant by identifying fertile days in the menstrual cycle.
How do you use it? It uses a test stick (sold separately as a pack of 30) to measure the hormone levels in the urine. To use it, first wet the test stick for 3 seconds, then insert it into a slot on the Easy Fertility Monitor. A few minutes later, the results will be shown on the monitor in the form of status bars. One bar denotes low fertility, two bars denote high fertility and three bars represent peak fertility. Try for a baby during the high and peak fertility periods. It is really simple.
How does it work? It measures a rise in estrogen levels (which precedes the surge of luteinizing hormone). The rise in estrogen levels indicates the onset of the high fertility phase. The monitor will show two bars during this phase (which can possibly last up to 5 days). When ovulation is imminent, it also detects the surge of luteinizing hormone levels, which indicates the arrival of peak fertility phase lasting about 2 days. The monitor will show three bars during this phase. It is advisable to try for a baby at least once during both the high fertility and peak fertility phases.
