Built-in software shows up when plugged in to a computer's USB port. You can save , edit or delete the videos, or e-mail them, or upload them to the video sharing sites MySpace, YouTube and AOL. You can capture still photos from videos. You can create a movie mix from selected film clips, complete with transitions, special effects and background music.
The Flip Video Ultra can be connected to a TV for direct viewing.

uses improved video compression engine: Pure Digital Video Engine 2.5,
uses internal rechargeable battery instead of AA batteries (Ultra),

supports the operations of pause, fast forward and rewind on playback,
has software which offers direct upload to MySpace, and
does not offer an underwater case as an option, unlike the Ultra.
