Hamilton Beach Chef Prep Food Processor

I was tired of constantly chopping up vegetables myself, so I purchased the Hamilton Beach Chef Prep food processor. Honestly, it's one of the best $40 investments I ever made. It allows me to quickly chop up foods, and it also has an attachment that allows me to shred cheese and a slicing attachment for slicing potatoes, cucumbers and other vegetables.

The ten cup capacity of this food processor is a real benefit, allowing me to have plenty of room for large jobs. There are two different speeds on it, but I often use the pulse control to get the job done quickly.

The feed chute is pretty handy, especially when you are slicing up vegetables. The only problem I have with the feed chute is that it is too narrow to get a block of cheese through it if you want to use it to grate cheese. You have to cut it into smaller blocks first.

I also love the fact that the entire thing can go right into the dishwasher. I don't have to stand there and handwash everything. The blades, the bowl, and the lid all can be washed within the dishwasher for easy cleaning.

Usually I use this food processor for chopping. Occasionally I use the slicing attachment, but I rarely use the shredding attachment. It does an okay job, but if you are shredding things like carrots, it can get a bit messy and instead of an even shred, everything seems to turn into a pulp.

Overall, I love this 10-cup food processor. It was a good price, I use it almost every day. Sure, it has a couple of problems, but I don't do much grating much anyway, so I'm pleased with the results I get with this machine.
