What are the basic steps in the installation of ooma Hub internet phone device?

1. Activate ooma Hub online.
2. Switch off the various devices: modem, router, computer etc.
3. Connect in such a way that ooma Hub sits in between the modem and the computer or router.
4. Connect ooma Hub to a phone jack (optional depending on whether you are installing the landline version and whether you want to install additional ooma Scout units).
5. Connect your current phone to ooma Hub.
6. Power up the devices.
7. Turn on your computer and connect to the internet.
8. The ooma Tab on the hub should turn blue and you should hear a special ooma dial tone.

Depending on your actual network device configuration at home, the actual steps may be a little different but the gist of the installation is outline above. The steps above are just so you can see at a glance roughly what needs to be done. The instructions are very clear in the user manual. As you can see, there really is not a lot to it and should be very straightforward.

What is the ooma Scout device? It is an accessory device which extends the ooma system. You connect the ooma Scout to a second phone jack and a second telephone. It can sit in your bedroom or kitchen, for example.

What are the features offered by the ooma Premier service?

• Personal numbers and voicemail: You can assign a separate phone number to each member of your family.
• Custom ring patterns: You can select custom ring patterns for each of your personal numbers.
