Oral B 5000 Toothbrush with SmartGuide
by Brittany
I recently went for a dental checkup and my dentist specifically told me to get the Oral-B ProfessionalCare SmartSeries 5000. The Oral-B electric toothbrush model comes with a wireless SmartGuide. The SmartGuide is supposed to help me in maximizing my brushing performance and I found out that it does help me brush through the four sides of my mouth. The timer helps me keep track of how long I need to brush each side.
The toothbrush comes with 40,000 pulsations and 8,900 oscillations per minute. It has a pressure sensor, which comes in handy since it stops pulsations when I brush my teeth too hard. I also love that it comes with five different brushing modes, which are Daily Clean, Sensitive, Whitening, Massage and Deep Clean.
Typical for Oral-B toothbrushes, it comes with indicator bristles to remind me to change the brush head every 3 months. The toothbrush also comes with three different brush heads; FlossAction, Pro White and Sensitive. It has a portable SmartPlug charger, a charging station with brush head storage, and a travel case.
I also love the fact that once fully charged, the battery lasts up to 2 weeks. This is very convenient for me because I do not like to have it recharged every day, thus saving power consumption. It also comes with a 2-year limited warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
One of the downsides of using an electric toothbrush is when I forgot to recharge it before going to a trip and forgot to pack the portable SmartPlug charger at the same time. It is also bulky and more expensive than manual toothbrushes. It does not come with a tongue scraper, which comes with certain manual toothbrushes. It is quite pricey compared to regular toothbrushes.
