This remote doorbell system combines wireless communication, ease of installation and musical tune selection into one very affordable package.

Heath Zenith SL-6164-B Wireless Musical Doorbell

What is it? It is a wireless doorbell that plays a musical tune when someone presses the doorbell button. It is much more pleasant and enjoyable to be notified of the arrival of visitors by a nice sounding musical tune. The large number of tune choices means that you are not stuck with the same melody over and over again.

What are the features of this remote doorbell?

• It is a wireless doorbell requiring no electrical installation.
• Musical chime comes with 64 tunes to choose from, including melodies for holidays and special occasions.
• There are 128 different code settings for wireless communication between the doorbell and the chime. This feature greatly reduces the likelihood of wireless interference.
• Doorbell button/transmitter, push button battery and doorbell chime are included. Doorbell chime requires 3 D batteries (not included) to operate.
• Transmission range is up to 100ft.

What are its benefits?

Heath Zenith SL-6164-B Wireless Musical Doorbell has received excellent user reviews. It has got three major strengths: it is wireless, it has multiple musical tunes and it is relatively cheap for what it is.

Are there other musical doorbells? Yes, there are. Two of the more popular ones are the Musical Doorbell and the iChime Programmable Doorbell. They are both considerably more expensive than Heath Zenith SL-6164-B and they are not wireless doorbell systems. Their installation is therefore a little more involved. The Musical Doorbell has over 100 tunes, voices and sound effects, plus a piano-like keyboard for composing your own tune. The iChime Programmable Doorbell has dozens of built-in sounds, and lets you record your own tune with a microphone, or download songs from an iPod or an MP3 player with a line-in jack, providing endless possibilities.
