What is the point of Autoswitching? Computer peripherals like printers and scanners draw a low level of current (idle current) even when they are not being used. Over time, this idle current can add up to quite a lot, both in terms of electricity consumed and its cost. With Autoswitching, the Smart Strip senses the flow of current through the control outlet and uses this information to automatically switch on or off the associated peripheral equipments connected to the switched outlets. This will help you to:
- Save time: You don't have to wait until the computer shuts down/goes to sleep before switching off the peripherals individually.
- Save electricity: This helps to conserve our precious energy resources.
- Save money: The money saved can add up and quickly repay the cost of the Smart Strip.
